Partner Steve Eagle Presents Risk Management Scholarship
Sterling Seacrest Pritchard Partner Steve Eagle recently awarded a scholarship to two East Carolina University (ECU) students in the Risk Management and Insurance program.
Steve Eagle graduated from East Carolina University (ECU) in 1981 with an economics degree from the School of Business. As a first-generation graduate, Eagle and his wife, Carter, established the scholarship in 2022 to support students with similar backgrounds.
“Everyone has a journey, a story, and a path. In many ways, my journey began here at East Carolina,” said Eagle. “If my gift can light the way for someone and help them along in their path, then they become part of my story, and I become part of theirs.”
This years recipients of the Steve and Carter Eagle Risk Management and Insurance Scholarship are sophomore Ava Dutiel and senior Alexa Hoffer.
Dutiel, a double major in Management and Risk Management & Insurance, shared: “I’m able to pursue my dream because of this scholarship. Last year was full of new experiences, but this support gave me the motivation to branch out and grow.”
The East Carolina University College of Business (COB) recently announced a record $1.2 million in scholarships during its Scholarship Awards Ceremony on September 18 at the Main Campus Student Center. The event recognized 450 student recipients and thanked 125 donors for their contributions.
