Joey Maxwell, CLCS’s main areas of expertise are in construction, manufacturing, real estate, and non-profits. He also provides exceptional service and risk management solutions across a diverse spectrum of other industries.

Joey is a solutions-oriented individual who excels in developing innovative strategic plans and executing them with efficiency. He maintains his Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designation and works diligently to remain ahead of the curve on industry related topics.

Joey has held various leadership positions and remains active in the Associated Builders and Contractors, Georgia Highway Contractors Association, Associated General Contractors, and the Construction Financial Management Association, where he currently serves on the board. As an industry expert, Joey has authored numerous articles on insurance and risk management and has been an active guest lecturer on such topics. 

A native of Sandy Springs, Georgia, Joey graduated from Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School and received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Clemson University. Following his time at Clemson, Joey joined Teach For America where he taught at a middle school in Dallas, Texas for two years and led his students in achieving dramatic academic gains.

Joey and his wife live in Morningside and are actively involved in the community. He maintains his passion for education by serving as a member of Teach For America Metro Atlanta’s Leadership Council and as a member of Clemson University’s Political Science Advisory Board.
