Craig Freeberg joined SSP in 2026 after 15 years in severe and catastrophic P&C claims. He brings deep frontline experience from some of the industry’s most complex loss environments, giving clients a seasoned advisor in today’s escalating casualty and litigation climate.
Craig started his career with Ace/Chubb, handling complex excess and large-loss commercial claims for Fortune 100 clients. He later joined PURE Insurance, where he built and led the company’s first large-loss team and eventually oversaw all P&C large-loss and litigation. He is a Member of the State Bars of Alabama and Georgia (inactive) and holds the CPCU and AIC designations. He completed the Tokio Marine Next Generation Executive Training Program in 2024.
Drawn to SSP’s culture and partnership model, Craig shifted into production to help clients navigate rising claims severity, social inflation, and nuclear verdict exposure. He leverages his claims and legal background to provide consulting, policy guidance, and litigation review services that give his clients executive-level insights into all aspects of nuclear verdict and social inflation risk.
Outside of work, Craig is active as a member and deacon at First Baptist Church of Cumming, and coaches youth baseball. He lives in Dawsonville with his wife, Casey, and their three boys. Craig enjoys golfing, spending time outdoors, and being with his family.
