Martin Stephenson is a Client Advisor who joined SSP in 2025, focusing on General Commercial Lines. A native of Atlanta, he attended Westminster before graduating from Woodberry Forest School in 1999. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Southern Methodist University in 2003.

Martin has two decades of experience in the sports and entertainment industry with a focus on corporate partnerships. After working for nearly three years with the Atlanta Hawks and Thrashers, he then spent 15 years with the PGA TOUR, working his way from Sales Manager to Tournament Director of the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club. Most recently, he spent three years with Clemson University Athletics as Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships. His career is rooted in building relationships and serving his clients, and it was this core responsibility that brought him to the Insurance Industry.

Drawn to SSP’s people, leadership, and culture, he knew it was the only place he wanted to begin this new chapter. “I’ve spent my entire career earning the trust of my partners to create unique solutions to help them achieve their goals. My work with SSP will be no different; I will just be using different tools.”

Active in the community, he serves on the Board of the Atlanta Alumni Group for Woodberry Forest School, the Board of Buckhead Baseball, and the football committee for the Northside Youth Organization. He and his wife, Anne, live in Atlanta with their three children, Gibson, Sanders, and Katherine Carlyle. In his free time, he enjoys family activities, coaching youth sports, golf, and fishing.
